2. However I was vulnerable at that time as I had just been burgled. Subsequently the alarm would go off without any intrusion. I reported this and on two separate occasions it was attended to but on the third occasion it wasn’t and later I was told to read my manual which was emailed to me. But it continued going off without intrusion so I turned it off until I went away when people I had left to attend to the intruder alarm eventually complained that it was going off without intruders. I then left a one star rating which was responded to very promptly and I am Very Pleased that I can now set my alarm on and go to sleep without being woken up unnecessarily. I was requested to delete the one star rating and I did. It had not worked the way I needed when I had it isince May but I am Very pleased with the service I have received since my last review. Excellent customer service. I have given it four stars as I expect to be back to give it a five star at some stage. This will be when I’ve been away and the people responsible to respond give their views when they compare to how it worked in the past.

April 25, 2017While I was able to install, required putting a hole in my house for the power line, the unit and connect to the app and doorbell The video worked sporadically. The video worked when I initially powered it on and later when it was initially mounted. Video quickly stopped thereafter. The audio works but momentarily cuts out every few seconds. The video worked again after removing the unit and using the RJ45 LAN connection, then on the wifi and then for about an hour after remounting. Maybe the camera gets cold. March 13, 2017Junk. I will be returning it. It won't connect and the instructions were wrote out of the US so hard to read and understand. Finally, I'm a big Orwell fan and it intrigued me to learn that the reason he titled the book "1984" was because he began writing it in 1948. He simply inverted the 4 and the 8 to make it "1984. " Thanks again and continued success on HubPages and beyond!I think I saw that one. I remember thinking something along the lines of "Hmmm, not so far off from the truth. " I think there's a lot more surveillance that we know about or that we make ourselves aware of. How many times when signing up for a site or using an online app when there's a long contract of sort with all the indemnity and legal info do we actually read it before clicking "agree"?Or willingly give all of our info from a social media site that we keep open to just friends and family to every app we sign up for?It just seems as if it is starting to get out of hand and there is a huge difference between those who are IT savvy and those who are not in terms of protecting themselves and the ability to potentially monitor others. Just two months ago, Vivint entered into a voluntary compliance agreement with the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office. Vivint, according to the agreement, “shall not make any misrepresentations and/or false or misleading statements, directly or by implication, which have the tendency or effect of deceiving or misleading consumers. ” Among the issues cited—which will sound familiar to Palm Coast complainants: the company made claims that it was affiliated with another company or agency when it wasn’t, it made claims that it was upgrading an existing security system when it wasn’t, it’s claimed that an existing security has either gone out of business or merged with another, when that was not the case, and so on. Less than two months earlier, the company agreed to a similar settlement with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office after consumers filed complaints that Vivint claimed, according to BBB documents, “that its home security equipment was free, but failed to disclose the existence or amount of installation, activation and monitoring fees associated with the system. Vivint door to door sales representatives misrepresented the price of continued monthly monitoring fees, made representations that it was providing an upgrade to the consumer’s current home security system; that the consumer’s current security system company was no longer in business; or that Vivint was otherwise part of or authorized to continue monitoring the consumer’s current home security system.
